The main objectives of the scheme are: 1) improved basic amenities, 2) Higher productivity, 3) Enhanced human development, 4) Bette livelihood opportunities, 5) Reduced disparities, 6) Access to rights and entitlements, 7) Wider social mobilization, 8) Enriched social capital, 9) To nurture the identified Adarsh Grams as schools of local development to train other Gram Panchayats
Construction of basic facilties
The scheme starts with identification Gram Panchayat by Sansad (MP) for holistic development i.e. MP in cooperation with District Collector will identify Gram Panchayat to convert to 'Adarsh Gram'. The idea is to develop 'Adarsh Gram' as an example of best practice for local governance and holistic village development. Once an Adarsh Gram is identified by MP, a village development plan will be prepared according to SAGY guidelines and sent for approval for District Collector and MP. Once the plan is approved, District authorities will use convergence funding to provide requisite funds to fulfill all the activities highlighted under the approved Village development plan
The identification of the Adarsh Gram can be done only by MP (Member of Parliament) in cooperation with District Collector. There is no application process for the same and there are very broad criterion for identification of Adarsh Gram Panchayats.
There is no application procss as such. Only MP can utilize this scheme.
