Revolving Fund (RF) is initial financial support as a grant, given to newly formed Self-Help Groups (SHGs) to strengthen their institutional practices like savings and internal lending.
To cultivate the habit of thrift among poor households by encouraging them to save, build their financial capacity to meet immediate consumption and long-term credit needs, and prepare them to access and manage bank credit and other financial resources more effectively.
Grant Rs 10,000 to up to Rs. 30,000
A Self-Help Group (SHG) must have been active for at least 3 to 6 months and consistently practice the Panchasutra principles: regular meetings, regular savings, regular internal lending, regular recoveries, and maintaining proper books of accounts. Additionally, only SHGs that have not received RF previously are eligible.
