In order to make handloom sector more sustainable, organized and competitive against machine made fabrics and also provide an assured market and better price for their product, this programme has been developed
to provide financial assistance for constructing workspaces, improving the productivity and working conditions of handloom weavers. This enhances the quality of production and supports the livelihoods of weavers.

This scheme is only for the weavers who are identified in the BLC
The weaver who happens to be a part of the BLC can directly propose to the Implementing Agency for that BLC for this assistance.
